Rebooting...
Welcome to the New Year.
After an woefully inconsistent output since late 2023/early 2024 due to a tumultuous work schedule, I’m glad to report that I’m back to some semblance of a routine. And that means more from me, starting with re-upping this newsletter. Much like Adam Vass, “I’m having so many ideas these days” and I’m excited to share that with you all.
So with that in mind, here’s a sort of system reboot.
Rebooting…
To start, I wanted to get a sort of release schedule written down. Both for you to see what’s coming up, get excited for it, and to keep myself accountable. Now, as always, this is subject to change but I’m going to do my best to keep to this calendar. Hence why I’m publishing it now. You’ll see some familiar projects on this list; some of which I’ve talked about over on BlueSky and elsewhere. But here’s what to look forward to in 2026.
System Initialization…
I’ll be wrapping up my latest Mothership 1e endeavor, PK49, and (if I haven’t already hit publish on it by the time this newsletter goes out) Jovian Opera, the first scenario for my roll-under microlite mecha game Grand Armor. It introduces 3 factions, 3 enemy types, an orbital station, and even a potential branch in the human species. For as short as it is (just pamphlet length) I think it’s a really elegant scenario and am pretty proud with the result.
Next is Havocom+, a scenario for FIST. The elevator pitch for this is what if the adorable monsters and eldritch horrors from the Kirby universe (yes, the little pink ball) came into our world and were up against Solid Snake. Hopefully it makes for as wild a time as it sounds. The playtest I did for this way back in 2022 was a raucous good time. It involved katanas and an apache attack helicopter going down over a small town football field.
And here’s one of the big ones, folks. Primeval and What We Give to Alien Gods will finally be getting updates for Mothership 1e. If you’ve already bought the digital version through Itch or DriveThruPRG, you’ll automatically get the update notification for the new files. I will likely be doing a joint Crowdfunding run (one campaign for both modules) around the middle of the year to secure funds for the revised print editions. So keep an eye out for that.
You’ll notice there are a few other projects on the list that I haven’t touched on: Terminus, Jupiter in Eb Minor, and Project: Cyan. These are all future Lone Archivist releases that are still in development and not quite at a point where I can reveal more about them. As I’m still resuscitating this newsletter, your best bet is to follow-along over on BlueSky as that’s more than likely where I’ll be posting first. Next best bet is always to check out the Links section on my website.
There are a bunch of other projects on the list (along with some more secret projects) but among them I want to do more half-page GM Screen Games – like Contagion and Moonwalker – along with supporting those games. For example, I have an adventure for Contagion called 091 Avery Ward that is around 90% done and 85% laid out, just needs some finishing touches. But that is more of a back-burner project that will primarily see digital-only release (unless it shows up on The Shop).
In addition to all of that, I’m going to be making an attempt at Dungeon26 (using an abandoned navy Hobonichi Techo Weeks from 2025); based of Sean McCoy’s Dungeon23. I previously attempted this challenge in 2023 and got most of the way through it. This year’s megadungeon is a planet-hopping adventure a la Stargate that follows an interstellar space cult worshipping a some sort of enigmatic being (spoilers!). Expect updates on that only if I’m able to keep it up. Which I should!
And finally, I’m planning on overhauling The Shop now that BigCartel allows for digital downloads. We’ll see how well it works but it should act as a nice way to provide digital downloads for folks buying physical goods straight from me (some of which you can’t get anywhere else!).

In addition to this packed schedule of releases, I’ll be working on client projects too. So if you’re backing anything this coming year, keep an eye out for my name under the list of contributors as I’m hoping to help with even more projects than in previous years.
Or if you’re looking for help in one of these areas, hit me up! I’d be glad to talk and see if I can help bring a fresh look and aesthetic to your project.
That’s it for now. Thank you for tuning into Transmissions from the Archive and hope you’re here for the next broadcast.
